While demand for programming education is increasing, it is not generally accepted that drones are a helpful educational tool for the development of the next-generation IT talents. To help popularize drone-based education, we incorporated all AIDMA’s laws into the design of the space: from “Attention” - drawing the visitors’ interest onto the drones, all the way through to “Action” i.e. encouraging them to shop. In other words, our design was focused on creating a consumer journey that captured the attention of the public and then facilitated conversion to sales. In order to capitalize on the store’s location within the mall as much as possible, suspended drone cages were installed in an open showroom, facing towards the main street. Additionally, these cages attract the attention of passersby. While taking a break in the lounge space, shoppers can observe the flight training sessions happening in the classroom space, provoking the desire to try it for themselves. The training space is designed with low cost yet high impact floor-to-ceiling graphic walls, giving the feeling of flying in the sky. The space is not only photogenic but designed in a way to increasing the visitors’ motivation to learn.
