A drone school experience everyone ends up recommending
The Drone School Tokyo Group opened its first location in Odaiba Venus Fort in 2018. That first store became the model for a nationwide franchise.
Their success comes from a clear plan for where to open schools and how to build their brand.
Drone schools usually need big spaces, high ceilings, and can be noisy, so they’re often placed in suburban warehouses. Instead, we asked ourselves: What if we could fit a drone school into a more convenient location with only the space and height we truly need?
That idea led to a plan to place the school inside a commercial facility.
The interior design follows the AIDMA model, which describes how people move from noticing something to taking action. The space is designed to guide visitors naturally through each step—Attention, Interest, Desire, Memory, and finally Action (signing up).
Commons Tachikawa’s Drone School focuses especially on the “Attention” stage. The space is designed to make people want to take photos, post them, and inspire others to visit.
When you enter, you step into a lounge wrapped in bold stripes.
Above, a message bar runs along the ceiling beams with short drone related phrases.
The vertical typography and striped graphics give the school an artistic, gallery like atmosphere.
In the drone court, the brand’s blue color is framed by bright yellow lines across the walls, ceiling, and floor, creating a strong visual impact.
