An office that makes collaboration feel effortless
GL Sciences, a company that makes analytical equipment for testing and research, planned to renovate the office entrance and move the meeting area to another floor.
The office and meeting areas, which were originally on the same floor, were separated so that the meeting area could become its own dedicated space, with more meeting rooms added.
Main entrance to the office uses light oak wood to warmly welcome visitors and create a soft, high‑quality atmosphere.

The meeting floor, now on a different level, was designed to feel enjoyable and inviting—so going to a meeting feels like a positive change, not something people do reluctantly.

The following four characteristics are considered important to achieve this:
-Quality and quantity of communication
-Versatility
-A space that feels enjoyable
-Ensuring psychological safety improves communication.

Instead of dividing spaces with strong colors, light oak wood and simple gray tones create a soft, calm impression. Having plants within sight in the meeting room creates a calming atmosphere that supports better concentration. View of Mount Fuji from the meeting rooms adds a shared sense of joy.

The large conference room can be divided into two rooms with a movable partition, allowing flexible use and supporting medium‑ to large‑scale events.

A mini lounge created next to the entrance contrasts with the soft overall design. dark wood texture was used to create a special, different atmosphere. Rich textures, gold‑accented lighting, and large sofas give the space a luxurious feel. A branding wall in the hallway displays company's work achievements and product photos like an art gallery, strengthening confidence and pride in employees as they walk in.

Each meeting room has different materials, furniture, and plants. This variety lets employees choose the room that best fits their work style or preference.
