HOME INSPIRED BY A NEW YORK APARTMENT

Newly constructed three-story wooden house in Koenji.
The interior design is reminiscent of luxurious homes in New York.
The idea was to create a living space collecting fragments of chic New York home interiors but not at the cost of making a hole in clients’ pockets. An open-space layout has been incorporated that challenges the balances of our increasingly less standardized domestic lives, where a family can enjoy a sense of openness that will help them to bring closer in their busy routine. The entrance is designed to be symmetrical, presenting a warm welcoming gesture.

The kitchen and living/dining room are a large single-plate space where it’s easier to interact with the family. The bedroom has a leather-covered headboard with a design pattern to create a sense of luxury. The bathroom has a glass door that creates a sense of unity with the washroom. A window is also installed in the bathroom, creating a bath space with a view.
The moldings and lighting ensure a sense of luxury while improving existing furniture and it also minimize the cost.
