AN OFFICE SPACE WHERE TWO AXES INTERSECT
Intersections of Space: An Innovative Office Design
Eucalia’s 19th-floor office expansion showcases a sophisticated blend of functionality and creativity, aligning with the company’s forward-thinking approach to the medical industry, including hospital management and support services.
The design is anchored by a dual-axis layout that combines structure and fluidity. The Y-axis features a systematic grid based on column placement, ensuring an efficient arrangement of rooms while optimizing relocation costs for equipment and facilities.
In contrast, the X-axis brings a dynamic element to the space through irregularly placed box-like structures of varying sizes. These volumes form distinct white spaces that elegantly divide public areas from private zones, fostering both openness and intimacy.
This interplay of axes generates unique design features, such as accent walls crafted from the uneven depths of the boxes. These walls serve both aesthetic and functional purposes, displaying room names while creating visual intrigue.
The varying box volumes also define a gently curving circulation path that weaves through the workspace. This subtle flow encourages exploration and interaction, creating opportunities for spontaneous communication and collaboration. Employees experience the space as a journey, where the organic layout inspires creativity and connection at every turn.
