RESIDENCE BUT FEELS LIKE A HOTEL
Renovation proposition for a low-rise apartment complex in Yoyogi-Uehara. The two existing rooms are combined into one, adding a sense of the extraordinary to the central living and dining space.
A large, custom-made L-shaped sofa tailored to compliment the space, and a dining bench resembling a hotel daybed takes advantage of the constraints of the existing wall.

The continuous living, dining and kitchen space becomes the focal point of the house, encouraging the family, who have often spent time separately up until now, to get together. While the overall design is simple, the attention to detail, such as moldings and brass joints, gives the semi-custom-designed luxurious bathroom a hotel-like luxury feels.

By using the same marble as the kitchen counter, which was deliberately retained, in the new design, we were able to create an affinity with the history of this home and the client while respecting it.
